PBO’s FREE Children's Vision Screening Training Program has been revised to meet the new standards published by the National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health and is approved by the Ohio Department of Health.
Participants who successfully complete all aspects of the training will be eligible to receive ONE set of equipment, valued at $950, which includes the 5’ VIP Lea for screening visual acuity, the PASS2 for stereopsis screening, and the Good-Lite ColorCheck for color deficiency screening.
In compliance with Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health’s Stay at Home Order, all Prevent Blindness, Ohio Affiliate (PBO) in-person children’s vision screening trainings are postponed.
PBO has developed an online children’s vision screening training (pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade) for the July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 period.
If you are interested in potentially participating in this online children’s vision screening training, please e-mail David Monder at davidm@pbohio.org with the subject “SFY 2021 Online Training”.
